I was the Production Stills Photographer for the movie "Murder in the Heartland." My job was to take photos of the cast, scenes, and behind the scenes. The movie starred Tim Roth, Brian Dennehy, and Randy Quaid.

I shot this photo of Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman backstage with my Nikon F3-High-Eye Point film camera. The lighting I used consisted of two Dyna-Light strobe heads connected to my Dyna-Light 800-watt-second power pack.

Heath Ledger at my house.
I got this assignment from the PR firm Dennis Davidson and Associates. I had done many photo shoots for this company. When I got the call, I had no idea who Heath Ledger even was. Heath Ledger had just finished working on a movie called "10 Things I Hate About You." He showed up at my house (I lived in Silver Lake) with a few different shirts to shoot in. The make-up artist got started on Heath right away. I had already set up my Dyna-Lite strobe heads for the first shot. Heath was a pleasure to work with. I had no idea he would be as big a movie as he did. RIP Heath Ledger.

The Golden Girls
I was hired by the PR firm that handled the hit TV show "The Golden Girls." It was Emmy night, and the show had a great evening with Estelle Getty winning Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. After I took this shot of L-R: Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Bea Arthur. I asked the Publicist if we could get Estelle Getty in this group shot, and two Publicists came at me and said, "That will never happen." Bea Arthur and Estelle Getty do not like each other and will not take a candid photo together. They will for press tours, but nothing else.
